The candidacy of Kishori Sah Kamal, a candidate from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been canceled. He was running for the upcoming member of the House of Representatives election from Dhanusha-1.
Sah’s candidacy has been annulled due to blacklisting at the Credit Information Bureau.
According to onlinekhabar, Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari confirmed that the commission has made the decision to annul Sah’s candidacy.
Kishori Sah Kamal is a road contractor leading Pappu–Kamal JV Construction Company, which was awarded a government road contract in 2017 to construct a 120-meter-long and 11-meter-wide bridge over the Jalad River under the Mithila Madhyam Parikrama Road section. The contract was worth NRs 120 million, with a completion target of January 2020. The bridge has been under construction for eight years.
In the 2022 general election, Sah, then a candidate from the Janamat Party (now representing RSP), secured 14,467 votes in Dhanusha-1, placing third. He was previously elected in 2017 as a Provincial Assembly member representing CPN-UML.
