Serious journalism, ground and investigative reporting, research, fact-checking, producing content in local languages, presenting information succinctly, including in short formats for an audience that often skim than reading in full is a tough job, and money-intensive.
Additionally, there is tough competition from those who won't bother doing this job properly. For us to keep delivering our work, we must rely on multiple revenue streams: contributions from readers, collaborators, donors, patrons, and yes, soon, advertisements, along with other streams such as events.

Writer, researcher, commentator, or even a citizen observer, you can propose your articles, essays, or data pieces. Human stories, under-reported angles, and local insights are especially welcome. While high fees aren't feasible, we try our best to offer fair compensation. That said, not all contributions can be paid, but we're open to publishing unpaid pieces based on mutual agreement.
Partner with us on projects such as multimedia, research investigations, data journalism, local reporting, etc. If you have access to resources, networks, or specialised skills, working together can strengthen impact.
