The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) climbed up Tuesday by 11.97 points (0.47%) to close at 2578.73 points, after a decline in previous session. But turnover slipped to NRs 3.13 billion from NRs 3.38 billion.
The total share traded on Tuesday was 89,55,230 which is lower than yesterday’s traded share but the scrips traded remains the same at 359.
Except for the microfinance and non-life insurance sub-indices, all other traded sub-groups contributed to the market’s rise. The Trading sub-index recorded the highest gain, increasing by 0.82%. The hydropower Index and sensitivity index were also up by 21.71 points or 0.62% and 2.01 points (0.44%) respectively.
On Tuesday, Trishuli Jal Vidhyut emerged to be the top gainer by 5.11% closing at NRs 288 followed by Salapa Bikas Bank (3.77%) and Hathway Investment Nepal (3.65%) closing at NRs 840.5, NRs 437.5 respectively.
Sarvottam Paints Industries was a top loser, declining 4.94% closing at NRs 1,136 followed by NIBL Growth Fund 4.44% and Chirkhwa Hydropower Limited and Rastriya Beema Company Promoter each lost 3.00%.
Ghalemdi Hydro recorded the highest turnover for a successive session with trading amounting to NRs 239.17 millions followed by turnover of Liberty Energy and Himal Dolakha Hydropower amounting to NRs 139.15 million and NRs 9.75 millions respectively.
