The stock market ended the last trading session of the fiscal year in the green, with the NEPSE index rising 7.50 points to close at 2,597.80. Daily trading turnover also increased during the session.

Total market turnover reached NRs 4.56 billion, up from NRs 4.17 billion in the previous session. During the day, investors traded 94.69 million shares across 371 listed securities.

Although the benchmark index advanced, market participation was mixed. Share prices of 121 companies gained, 151 companies declined, and three remained unchanged.

NIBL Growth Fund emerged as the session's biggest gainer, jumping 14.96% to NPR 10.91 per unit. First Microfinance followed closely, climbing 14.67% to NRs 860 per share.

On the downside, Corporate Development Bank posted the largest loss, falling 8.77% to NRs 1,596.50 per share, while NIC Asia Flexi Cap Fund declined 4.53% to NRs 9.06 per unit.

Singati Hydro Energy led the market in trading value, with shares worth NRs 247.4 million changing hands at NRs 302.90 per share, representing a 1.34% increase from the previous close. The 8.5% Sanima Debenture 2087 ranked second in turnover, with trades totaling around NRs 230 million.

Sectoral performance remained broadly positive, as nine of the 13 sector indices ended higher. The Mutual Fund sub-index recorded the strongest gain, rising 1.66%. Banking, development banks, investment, life insurance, microfinance, non-life insurance, trading, and the "Others" sectors also closed in positive territory. In contrast, the finance, hydropower, hotels and tourism, and manufacturing and processing sectors finished the day lower.

The gains in both the benchmark index and trading volume provided a positive finish to the fiscal year, reflecting sustained investor activity despite mixed performance across individual stocks.
